The first Mercedes officially badged as AMG to come off the Stuttgart assembly lines, the C36 AMG symbolizes the beginning of the integration of AMG into the Mercedes-Benz range. Its 3.6-liter inline 6-cylinder engine (M104) develops 280 hp and 385 Nm, propelling the sedan from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, a remarkable performance for the time.
Produced in around 5,200 units, the C36 AMG is now a rare youngtimer, coveted for its pioneering status in the AMG range.
