The AlfaSud offered is a 1200 cc version developing 68 hp, produced in 1981. It is a phase 2 model, introduced in 1980, with 4 doors and a trunk. It is worth noting that the hatchback was only introduced in 1982, with the drawback of being less rigid compared to the 4-door bodies. The endemic corrosion issues that had marked the early models were corrected thanks to the electrophoretic coating treatment of the sheet metal. Our Alfasud also benefited from additional rust protection treatment and is now perfectly free from any corrosion.

The example offered was delivered new in May 1989 in Ontario, Canada. Its configuration is particularly rare, with a sunroof and Recaro seats (also air conditioning). Engine, clutch, gearbox, differential work perfectly. However, it needs to be taken care of in order to fully enjoy it.

The works to be considered are a repair of the floor near the left front jack support and a revision of the 4 brake calipers (the master cylinder works perfectly).

The Alfa Romeo Spider 3, also known as Aerodinamica, has long been underappreciated and criticized by purists and others. Today, this judgment is no longer relevant. Long live 80s style!

 

This example, free of corrosion, has just come out of a revision (engine mounts, support, bearing and driveshaft bearing). It drives and behaves perfectly. Its overall condition is good, its upholstery is beautiful, as is its soft top. The Cromodora wheels and wooden steering wheel suit it very well. It has been a second owner since 2003.
